Have you heard of a narrow street? This is a form of living in which houses are usually built into existing properties. This is usually the back yard or an opening to the back alley.

Interesting, isn’t it?

This type of housing is common on the west coast of Canada, mainly in the Metro Vancouver area. However, we won’t be surprised if Laneway Houses are popular in other parts of the world as well.

The house has an interesting design as it creatively combines lines and shapes. What you can see here is the back of the alley house where there is a terrace and garden that are shared with the main house.

Campos Studio

The house is clapboard and covered it is designed for a family who wants to care for aging family members. In addition, it is their goal to increase the density of the existing single-family residential property.

With its black facade and unique modern design, it stands out on the street. Apparently such a house is easy to spot anywhere!

The house has different window sizes and shapes. There are rectangular and square. There are also round windows like the one seen here. Isn’t that interesting?

When you enter the alley, a step leads down to the living room. You can see minimal, custom-made furniture and gleaming white walls that make the small room appear larger. There is also some storage space hidden in a built-in cupboard with light wooden slats next to the door.

It has a footprint of 640 square feet and contains everything you need for a home. An added bonus is its beautiful interior design which is the complete opposite of its exterior. The house has made perfect use of the contrast of dark and light colors.

Because of the colors used in the surroundings, it looks very nice, welcoming and relaxing. Thanks to the warm and cozy aura created by the colors and lighting, you can really relax inside.

Next to the living room is the dining area and the Kitchen. This part of the house looks out onto the garden and into the white kitchen. It has a skylight that lets natural light through.

A wooden and steel staircase can also be seen in the living room that leads to the second floor. This beautiful staircase design brings homeowners into the more private areas of the house which are the bedroom and bathroom.

Another look at the staircase that reveals a round window can the side. Note that the tread is a mix of white and wood, while the main tread and the slope below it is a gray color.

This project was done by Campos Studio which is the homeowners a beautiful lane gave house. Those who live here will not only be happy about the good design, but will also feel very comfortable thanks to the warm appearance. It is a good idea that a contrast of dark and light colors is used inside, in the exterior and interior. This is a great way to make the house unique and attractive.
