The house, designed as a modern ranch, is located next to a densely wooded park, which gives a feeling of retreat in the summer months and reveals the skyline of downtown Minneapolis and its proximity to the city during the winter season.
The house uses a variety of key materials throughout its design, such as Corten steel wall panels, natural cedar, honed and polished concrete, and Kasota limestone.
The striking one cantilevered roof area, which the Vo lumen of the house, shields the living spaces from the sum of the sun and at the same time catalyzes the feeling of energy and movement throughout the building.
